The three projects in one table
GLP’s houses for sale page groups its single-family and attached homes. Three of them sit by the sea or have their own beach club. The table summarizes what each official page says; details a page does not specify are marked “confirm with GLP” so that nothing is filled in by assumption.
| Aspect | Playa Caracol (The Tides) | Playa Dorada | Bayside |

| Location | Chame, West Panama | Vacamonte, West Panama | Seafront, 20 km from the city |
| Distance to the city | More than 70 km | About 30 minutes from downtown | 20 km |

Data from GLP’s official project pages, consulted in October 2026. None of the pages publishes a delivery date or the number of units available today.
The Tides at Playa Caracol
According to the Playa Caracol page and the The Tides website, the project offers two-level single-family and attached townhouse-style houses with 2 and 3 bedrooms, a separate entrance, a private patio and a location 80 meters from the sea. The complex page describes more than 1 km of white sand beach, views of the Pacific and Cerro Chame, and a complex with 24-hour security. The same page also mentions apartment options within Playa Caracol, so the exact unit of interest should be confirmed with the developer.
Amenities listed by GLP include the Vento Beach Club, with the Allora restaurant, Beach Break Bar and Marea Gym; basketball, tennis and beach volleyball courts; pools; BBQ areas; a surf club with lessons and equipment rental; pet parks and Caracol Market, a convenience store inside the community. The activities the page links to the surroundings are swimming, surfing, kitesurfing, paddleboarding, kayaking, hiking on Cerro Chame and whale watching.
The page includes a distance table from Playa Caracol:
| Destination | Distance | Time according to GLP |
|---|---|---|
| Panama City | 75 km | 1 h 20 min |
| Coronado | 30 km | 30 min |
| San Carlos | 12 km | 15 min |
| Tocumen Airport | 110 km | 1 h 45 min |
These times are GLP references. For weekly use, driving the route at the real departure and return hours is the safer test. Readers comparing with coastal apartments will find a different zone logic in the guide to beach apartments in Panama.
Playa Dorada in Vacamonte
The Playa Dorada Residences & Beach Club page places the project in Vacamonte, West Panama, about 30 minutes from downtown Panama City and 4 km from Westland Mall. It lists access from the Arraiján-La Chorrera highway and from the Interamericana road. GLP’s houses page describes it with single-family or attached houses with 2 and 3 bedrooms, a beach club and family amenities.
The page speaks of a private beach club with recreation areas facing the ocean, water activities, beach sports and dining for residents, and of settings with access control and 24/7 security. GLP also states that the project has options that fall under the preferential interest rate. Whether a specific unit qualifies depends on its value and the rules in force, something the bank confirms; Radar’s guide to preferential interest details the conditions.
Bayside, 20 km from the city
According to the Bayside page, the project is a resort-style community 20 km from downtown Panama City, with single-family and attached houses, apartments and residential lots. The amenities it lists are a private beach club with direct sea access, Olympic and recreational pools, sports courts, restaurants and shops within the development, green areas and trails. The page describes a gated community with controlled access and mentions the construction of a club with views of the garden and the sea.
Because the project combines houses, apartments and lots, the stage of each product type may differ. The page does not say which one is available today, a detail GLP confirms during a visit or in writing.
What to check before buying a beach house
A house near the sea is bought on commercial pages that summarize a lot. These steps organize what is worth verifying before signing.
- Confirm the unit type and stage. The pages mix houses, townhouses, apartments and lots. The exact unit, its model and its status (plans, construction or delivery) are requested in writing.
- Verify the property in the Public Registry. Radar’s guide explains how to search the Public Registry online to check the property, owner and liens.
- Identify the project’s legal regime. Law 284 of 2022 allows units on common land, urban developments and subdivisions to belong to the horizontal property regime (article 3). If the project is under it, the law requires the developer to hand the co-ownership rules to the prospective buyer and to meet the deadlines and what was agreed in the contract and the promotional material (article 52). The guide to horizontal property explains fees and the owners’ assembly. The law is in Spanish and is paraphrased here.
- Ask what the club includes. Whether access to the beach, the pool or the gym is included in the fee or paid separately is a matter for the rules and the contract, not for the project page.
- Measure the real commute. GLP’s times are references. A house 20 km away or 75 km away changes the use: main home, second home or rental.
- Plan for salt-air maintenance. Sea air affects equipment and finishes; the guide on air conditioning by the sea describes the wear and what to check.
- Check the financing. Eligibility for preferential interest and the bank’s conditions are asked about the specific unit.
Foreign buyers can also read the guide on buying property in Panama as a foreigner. This content is informational and does not replace the advice of a lawyer or a licensed broker.
GLP gathers the houses and townhouses of Playa Caracol, Playa Dorada and Bayside on a single page, with access to each project’s page. Current information on units, stages and conditions is confirmed with the GLP team.
