January 2027: what is confirmed
The 24th Panama Jazz Festival will run from January 14 to 16, 2027, dedicated to bassist Jimmy Maxwell, according to La Estrella de Panamá and Prensa Latina, which reported on the launch held on August 18, 2026 at Ciudad del Saber. Panamanian pianist Danilo Pérez is the founder and artistic director. The announced venues are the Teatro Ateneo, the Ciudad del Saber plaza, the Teatro El Dorado and the Cuadrángulo Central, the last with free outdoor activities.
The festival’s official ticket site has three concert listings with price and time. The January 14 gala brings together Paquito D’Rivera and Danilo Pérez with the Berklee Global Jazz Institute, with Chiara Izzi opening, and the published ticket price is $52.50. On January 15, Bass Extremes is announced with Victor Wooten, Steve Bailey and Danna Hawkins, at $35. The same day, Billy Herron and Folk Lab Studio play the Teatro Dorado at $10. Before the festival, the ticket site lists three Pre-Jam sessions with the Danilo Pérez Foundation on January 11, 12 and 13 at Rock & Folk; the ones on the 11th and 12th are listed at $10.

Data from the festival’s official ticket site, checked on October 13, 2026. Listings: Pre-Jam on the 11th, Pre-Jam on the 12th, gala, Bass Extremes and Billy Herron. Doors for the gala and Bass Extremes open at 7:00 p.m. and the shows start at 8:00 p.m. No program with artists and times has been published for January 16.
February and beyond: what is not there yet
On Ticketplus and Panatickets, no international-artist concert appears for January or February 2027 outside the jazz festival at the time of checking. Ticketplus’s February listing shows children’s shows, not concerts. The aggregator Songkick also shows no Panama City dates between January and March 2027.
That does not mean nothing more will come. Promoters often announce only weeks ahead, and the article on concerts left this year already noted on October 5 that no 2027 shows were confirmed. Some 2027 dates circulating on resale or presale sites are left out here because no promoter or local ticket seller backs them. Carnival falls in February, but at the time of writing no official music lineup with tickets could be verified.
The Pachanga question
Searches for “Pachanga 2027” lead to festivals with that name outside Panama, such as the Pachanga Latino Music Festival in Austin, Texas. As of October 13, 2026, no “Pachanga Latin Fest” with a date, venue and artists for Panama turned up on Panamanian ticket sites or in the press. If the organizer publishes a listing, that would be the data to add. Until then, any January lineup attributed to that name remains unconfirmed.
How to buy without mistakes
- Use the official ticket site. Festival concerts are sold at ticket.panamajazzfestival.com, the site the festival’s own page points to.
- Match the listing date to the announcement. An older listing on another platform places the gala on January 15; the official one says Thursday, January 14.
- Read the door and start times. For the gala and Bass Extremes, doors open at 7:00 p.m.
- Check the venue. The Teatro Ateneo, the Teatro Dorado and Rock & Folk are different venues.
- Add up fees before paying. The listed price can change at checkout.
- Check back. If tours are announced for January or February, the concerts in Panama guide is where updates go.
For those planning an agenda, the month’s cinema and streaming lineup is in October releases in Panama.
Tickets for the gala, Bass Extremes and the Teatro Dorado concerts are sold on the Panama Jazz Festival’s official ticket site.
