JETOUR X70 FL in Panama: seven seats, versions and what to check before deciding

In short: The JETOUR X70 FL is the seven-seat SUV that Petromotors, the brand’s official distributor, sells in Panama in two versions, Comfort and Signature. Both share a 1.5 turbo engine with 154 hp and 230 Nm, a six-speed automatic gearbox, front-wheel drive, six airbags, a 540° camera, a panoramic roof and a 7-year or 200,000 km warranty. The Signature adds LED headlights, leather upholstery, a powered tailgate, a wireless charger and eight speakers. Its weak point is clear: it does not offer autonomous emergency braking. Against rivals such as the Toyota Rush, the Kia Carens or the Mitsubishi Xpander Cross it stands out for power, equipment and cover. The current price is published by the distributor on the model page.

Who the JETOUR X70 FL is for

The third row of seats is usually the reason for buying a vehicle of this kind, but not every seven-seater answers the same need. Going by what the distributor publishes, the X70 FL fits these profiles above all:

  • Families of five that are sometimes seven. Anyone who occasionally carries grandparents, cousins or schoolmates gets the use of the third row without moving up to a larger vehicle.
  • Buyers who put passive safety first. The six airbags come from the entry version, something several rivals in the segment do not offer.
  • City drivers. At 4,743 mm long, the 540° camera and the front and rear sensors make manoeuvring in tight car parks easier.
  • Anyone planning to keep the car for many years. The 7-year or 200,000 km warranty is the longest among the models compared in this article.

It is a poorer fit for anyone who regards active driver aids as essential, for anyone who needs four-wheel drive or for anyone who always travels with seven adults and luggage. Radar Panamá’s guide to seven-seat SUVs in Panama goes through the rest of the options on the market.

How it compares with other seven-seaters

The table compares the published equipment of the most common rivals. It does not include prices: each distributor publishes its own and they vary with promotions. The rivals’ data sheets are from different years, so it is worth confirming the current equipment at each dealership.

The reading is simple. Only the Forthing T5L matches the power of the X70 FL, but with two airbags. The Toyota Rush, the Kia Carens, the Hyundai Creta Grand and the Chevrolet Captiva match the six airbags, although none of their sheets lists a surround-view camera. On warranty, the JETOUR exceeds the next longest cover in the table by two years and 50,000 km.

What the X70 FL does not have

The X70 FL does not include autonomous emergency braking in either of its two versions. It is the model’s most significant omission and worth bearing in mind if that aid is a requirement. Within the same Petromotors network, the Soueast S07 Premium does offer autonomous emergency braking and lane departure warning, according to the distributor’s page.

A model with a sales record

The X70 is no newcomer. In February 2026 it entered the list of Panama’s ten best-selling models for the first time, according to Best Selling Cars Blog, which recorded it in its statistics under the name X70 Plus; the X70 FL is the variant sold in the country today. Outside Panama, in Uruguay it was the second best-selling SUV of the first quarter of 2026, with 384 units, according to data from the industry association (ACAU) published by Autoblog Uruguay.

What to check before deciding

  1. The third row with its real occupants. It is worth seating the people who will actually use it and checking access, legroom and headroom.
  2. The boot with all seven seats in use. Load space shrinks when the last row is raised; the prudent thing is to see it with the usual luggage.
  3. The warranty in writing. It is worth confirming what the 7 years or 200,000 km cover and which services are required to keep it valid.
  4. Workshop and parts. It pays to locate the nearest Petromotors branch and ask about the cost of the first services.
  5. The current price and conditions. The distributor updates them on the model page; it is worth asking for the quotation in writing and knowing how long it applies.
  6. The test drive. Ideally it is done with the vehicle loaded, to judge how the turbo engine responds with several people on board.
